If your browser blocks the automatic download due to "unverified publisher" errors or strict administrative policies, you must perform a manual installation.

The installer looks for the cab in a specific path (e.g., C:\Windows\Downloaded Installations ). Fix: Copy Webrec.cab to %TEMP% or the same folder as the setup executable. Then rerun the installer.

: The file is often stored in your Temporary Internet Files folder after a failed attempt. Alternatively, you can find it on the software CD that came with your DVR.

cd C:\WebrecTemp expand Webrec.cab -F:* .

This method only works on Windows 7 or older, or Windows 10/11 with IE Mode and reduced security settings (not recommended for daily use).
