It encompasses cardiology, pulmonology, gastroenterology, nephrology, endocrinology, infectious disease, rheumatology, hematology, oncology, and neurology. Each subspecialty contains dozens of landmark trials, updated guidelines, and rare but fatal conditions.

Spaced repetition involves reviewing information at increasing intervals over time. Instead of "cramming" a chapter on acid-base disorders, a clinician might review it today, then again in three days, then in a week, and finally in a month.
