Fiske was found dead on Shadow Island, a mysterious landmass off the coast of Maine known for its dark history and the reclusive Morton family. Carnby’s investigation leads him to team up with Aline Cedrac, an archaeologist and university professor who has her own reasons for visiting Shadow Island. She is searching for three ancient tablets that hold the secret to a terrible power, and she hopes to find her missing mentor, Obed Morton, whom she believes might be her father.
