: Players begin their journey in a central village where they can meet the main cast of characters and begin establishing their base of operations.

Barbarian Chronicles will be updated in fragments—each a standalone episode or “scar.” Some will be battle scenes. Some will be quiet moments of grief. Some will be lore fragments (the gods, the curses, the forgotten languages). The “ongoing” nature means chapters can be released out of chronological order, like finding scattered pages of a journal.
