Pedro Pablo León Jaramillo negotiates his surrender to the Colombian authorities, aiming to serve a short sentence in a luxurious prison (a nod to the "Catedral" prison era) in exchange for his cooperation. However, the plan goes awry. During the transfer, his enemies—rival cartels and corrupt factions within the government—plot his assassination. El Capo realizes that the state cannot protect him, and he does the unthinkable: he escapes.
