Issue #2 jumps to the late Cretaceous period. A small team of Autobots (led by a young Optimus Prime, here called Optronix ) and Decepticons (led by a cunning, snake-like Megatron) detect the Spark’s signal from deep space. They arrive on Earth to find that Tempo has used the Spark to fuse Cybertronian CNA with prehistoric megafauna.
