Jill is called into the tryout room, where she's greeted by a friendly and professional representative from Blacked. The tryout begins with a brief introduction and a review of the company's expectations. Jill is then asked to perform a series of scenes, showcasing her acting abilities, sensuality, and comfort level in front of the camera.

The dialogue is minimal but effective. Jill is asked why she thinks she deserves the role. Her response is coy: she suggests that her "talent" might be better demonstrated than described. This is the turning point. In the Blacked universe, this is where the male lead stands up, loosens his tie, and the "interview" turns physical.
