What is CAD/CAM?

CAD/CAM (computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing) refers to computer software that is used to both design and manufacture products.

CAD is the use of computer technology for design and design documentation. CAD/CAM applications are used to both design a product and program manufacturing processes, specifically, CNC machining. CAM software uses the models and assemblies created in CAD software to generate tool paths that drive the machines that turn the designs into physical parts. CAD/CAM software is most often used for machining of prototypes and finished production parts.

Her teaching style is often cited as the primary reason students stick with the course. She has an innate ability to break down abstract programming concepts into relatable, real-world analogies. Furthermore, she anticipates the points where students usually get stuck and offers guidance right before frustration sets in. This "hand-holding" is essential during the grueling middle stretch of a 100-day commitment.

Many users report it as a "life-changing" resource that shifts their identity from student to creator. It is noted for teaching the "Python Ecosystem" broadly, allowing students to eventually pivot into data science, web dev, or automation.
