Simulation-based prototyping is critical for embedded systems, yet existing libraries for the ESP32 in Proteus are either absent or functionally incomplete. This paper presents the design, implementation, and validation of a comprehensive ESP32 library for Proteus VSM (Virtual System Modelling). The library includes a custom symbol, a PCB footprint, and a behavioral model that emulates core peripherals: GPIO, UART, I2C, ADC, and Wi-Fi triggering (via virtual terminal handshaking). We validate the library through three case studies: (1) a Bluetooth serial echo, (2) an IoT sensor node with virtual MQTT, and (3) a real-time LED PWM dimmer. Results show cycle-accurate digital I/O and near-functional accuracy for analog and communication peripherals, reducing hardware prototyping time by ~40%. The library is released open-source, enabling educators and hobbyists to simulate ESP32 projects without physical hardware. esp32 proteus library
