Umdatul Ahkam (عمدة الأحكام) translates to "The Mainstay of Rulings." It is a collection of Ahadith meticulously selected by Imam Abdul-Ghani bin Abdul-Wahid al-Maqdisi (d. 600 AH). The Imam extracted these narrations from the two most authentic Hadith books in existence: Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim .
