A cracked version will have altered .exe files or bypassed DLLs. When you try to read a drive’s firmware modules (e.g., loading an LDR into a Seagate F3 drive), the cracked software may write garbage data. This can physically brick the drive—turning a recoverable case into a permanent loss.
