The collection explores one of the most deeply rooted taboos in South Asian (and global) familial structures: the bond between a brother and sister. The title deliberately weaponizes the word Doodh (milk), which traditionally symbolizes motherhood, purity, nurturing, and unconditional love. By placing “milk” in a “romantic” context, the collection promises to subvert the sacred, platonic bhai-behen relationship into a landscape of longing, guilt, and carnal desire.
