The story follows two former special forces soldiers, Luo Feng (Chan) and Chris Van Horne (Cena). Feng is tasked with leading a private security team to evacuate a group of Chinese refinery workers through Baghdad’s treacherous "Highway of Death". Along the way, he crosses paths with Chris, who initially believes he is helping his local village by stopping a supposed "bad guy".
Hidden Strike is a throwback to the cheesy, over-the-top action movies of the 1990s. It’s not a good movie in the traditional sense, but if you go in expecting ridiculous stunts, shaky CGI, and two megastars trading one-liners, it delivers a moderately fun, low-stakes 100 minutes. Think of it as a direct-to-DVD movie from 2003 that somehow got a big budget and A-list stars.
