Powered by the Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial engine producing over 2,000 horsepower, the P-47D was faster in a dive than any Allied fighter. It was the preferred escort for B-17 Flying Fortresses over Germany because it could take a beating and bring its pilot home. The bubble-top "D" variant, which this add-on models, offered exceptional visibility and became the definitive Thunderbolt of 1944-45.
Landing the P-47D in FSX is an event. Approach speed is 100-110 mph with full flaps. You must three-point the landing or risk a ground loop. The add-on’s tailwheel lock helps, but you will need rudder pedals with good sensitivity. FSX Steam Edition- Republic P-47D Thunderbolt Add-On
