This review evaluates the dub on its own merits, separate from the original English track.
The Albanian voice actor captures Shrek’s gruff exterior and hidden vulnerability remarkably well. Unlike some dubs that make the ogre sound either too cartoonish or too aggressive, this version retains his sarcastic deadpan delivery. The line “A ta kam fjalën?” (roughly “Do I have your word?”) during the deal with Farquaad carries the same skeptical weight as Mike Myers’ original.
