Few debut albums are as flawless as Hopes and Fears . Produced by Andy Green, this record captured the aching melancholy and euphoric release of the early 2000s. Every track is a potential single, built on Tim Rice-Oxley’s symphonic piano lines and Tom Chaplin’s ability to shatter glass with his falsetto.

Before the fame, Keane was a standard guitar band. The departure of guitarist Dominic Scott in 2001 forced a creative crisis that defined their signature sound. Rice-Oxley leaned heavily into the piano, creating a rich, compressed, and atmospheric style.

The band's output is extensive, featuring a mix of standard releases and rare live recordings. Notable Entry Hopes and Fears Live Albums Live 06 EPs Night Train Singles "Somewhere Only We Know"
