Lucian escaped and founded the Lycan clan. In the present, Selene’s mentor, the vampire Kraven (Shane Biron), conspires with Lucian to kill the hibernating vampire elders. Selene bites Michael to save his life, creating the first hybrid. After a climactic battle, she kills Kraven and Viktor (an elder), and she and Michael escape.
