In this episode, Debbie does something remarkable: she uses her brain. Realizing that Angstrom Levy’s technology leaves a specific energy signature, she contacts Art (the costume designer) and Cecil Steadman. She deduces that Levy isn’t after the Earth; he’s after Mark emotionally. Debbie’s plan to set a trap using a fake news report about Mark’s location is a brilliant character beat.
