To the modern crypto trader, the name might ring a vague bell or summon a dusty Reddit thread. But to veterans of the 2010-2011 Bitcoin scene, Artforz was a titan. He was a pioneer of GPU mining, a controversial pool operator, and a central character in one of the earliest community schisms. His story is a window into a time when Bitcoin was a weird internet experiment, hashrate was measured in megahashes, and "making it" meant owning a few thousand coins mined on a gaming graphics card. Despite his massive influence, ArtForz wasn't just in it for the money.
