The third episode of "Ang Mutya ng Section E" picks up where the previous episode left off, with Mutya navigating the complexities of her newfound popularity. As she becomes more confident in her abilities, Mutya starts to assert herself and take on leadership roles in school projects. However, not everyone is pleased with her rising star, and tensions begin to rise among her classmates.
This episode masterfully uses flashbacks. We see a young version of Jayda’s mother crying in the same stairwell where Jayda now eats her lunch. The cinematography is stark—Sepia for the past, vibrant but desaturated blue for the present.
The comic relief trio finally gets a serious moment. They rig the school’s announcement system to play Jayda’s speech during the hearing. Their loyalty shifts from Keifer to Jayda by the end of the episode.
