: On June 8, 2014 , Sky surprisingly released the patch two months earlier than the previously announced date of August 8th. The timing was significant, as it was the day before E3 2014 .

The process took nearly two years. Unlike text-heavy RPGs like Persona , Type-0 contained thousands of lines of mission briefings, lore entries (the “Rubicus”), and in-battle chatter.
