The pinnacle of Malaysian school life, however, is the (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia), taken at the end of Form 5 (equivalent to Year 11/Grade 10). The SPM is the Malaysian equivalent of the O-Levels. The results of the SPM determine whether a student enters Form 6 (pre-university), matriculation, private college, or the workforce.
