In the original Planet Hulk , the hero is a slave. In the 2015 Secret Wars version, the Hulk (specifically a version known as the ) is the oppressor . This version of Sakaar is ruled by a despotic, tyrannical Hulk who has enslaved other Marvel heroes. This twisted mirror of the 2006 arc gave fans exactly what they were looking for: a "new" Planet Hulk story released specifically in 2015.
