If Apple repairs a defect under the 365 warranty, the warranty does not reset. If the same part breaks again on day 364, you are covered. If it breaks on day 366, you pay.

For iPhones, you can add coverage for an additional fee, which covers up to two incidents of theft or loss per 12-month period, subject to a deductible ($149–$269). applecare 365
