A typical plot might involve our heroine trying to photograph a secret document, but her high-heel gets stuck in a sidewalk grate. Or she’s tied to a chair (loosely, of course) and escapes because the villain used a silk rope that she easily unties with her teeth.
The stories (written by Ward himself, with possible uncredited dialogue help from Tower editor Harry Shorten) are pure slapstick. An average plot: Sizzle is sent to retrieve a stolen microfilm hidden in a villain’s penthouse. She arrives disguised as a phone repair woman. By page five, her uniform has torn in three places.
