Hackers know that people searching for "unlock tools" are desperate and likely to lower their defenses. They wrap a virus or Remote Access Trojan (RAT) inside a .RAR file. Once you extract and run the "tool," it may silently install spyware that steals your passwords, banking details, and personal photos.
The EDL mode method is dangerous. If the tool flashes the wrong partition (e.g., overwrites the xbl or aboot partition), your phone will not turn on at all—not even into recovery or fastboot. The only fix is a motherboard replacement.
