Forget manual release times. The L3-LL features an ARC knob. Turning it to the left yields a faster release (more aggressive, louder but pumpy). Turning it to the right yields a slower release (more transparent, retains dynamics). For mastering, start at 50% (the "noon" position) and move right for acoustic music.
