If you do not see Easy Document Creator listed, your printer may not support it. In that case, look for “Xerox Scan Driver” or “TWAIN Driver” and use a generic scanning app like NAPS2 (Not Another PDF Scanner 2).

Usually, this will download a .exe installer file or a compressed .zip folder. If you do not see the file listed, it is possible your specific model uses a different software suite (like "Xerox Print and Scan Experience"). In this case, look for the alternative scanning software provided by Xerox for that specific model.

After reboot, look for the icon on your desktop or in the Start Menu. Launch it. If it opens without error, you have succeeded.

Unlike some OEM suites that install 8 background services, XEDC runs when you need it. No startup bloat. No nagging updates. Just scan, save, done.

Before diving into the download process, it is critical to understand what this software does and does not do.
