The ROM exists only on private trackers and Reddit mega-threads that get deleted weekly. It is the ultimate "you didn't get this from me" file.
This is the core feature. The ROM expects a specific file structure on the CD: a folder named ANIME_DATA containing .VAN files (Vectorized Anime Negatives). These are proprietary, low-resolution video files. Today, only three known .VAN files exist in the wild: a looping clip of Evangelion 's Unit-01, a Sailor Moon transformation sequence, and a test pattern of a bouncing Sega Saturn logo.
