In its final months, the Qubo screen bug, along with the E/I (Educational/Informational) and TV rating symbols, was moved to accommodate a widescreen format.

Qubo itself shut down its main broadcast feed in 2021, pivoting to a streaming app that (ironically) has no on-screen bug at all. But for those who grew up watching digital subchannels on rainy Saturday mornings, the bug lives on—frozen in time, pixelated in memories, and forever burning a little "Q" into the corner of our collective retina.

Although new 3D branding was introduced in 2013, the corresponding screen bug didn't debut until December 2014. This version featured an animated, flipping cube that would settle into place before turning semi-transparent.
