Igo Forum -
At its core, the term refers to a structured platform or recurring convening mechanism where representatives from multiple Intergovernmental Organizations (IGOs) come together. Unlike the G7 or G20, which focus on state leaders, or the World Economic Forum, which focuses on public-private partnerships, the IGO Forum is a "second-order" diplomatic space. It is a forum for the institutions that states have already built.
No single IGO can solve a problem like climate change, forced migration, or a pandemic alone. An IGO Forum allows the WHO to align its health guidelines with the ILO’s labor standards and the UNHCR’s refugee protocols.
