The development of the DS began with a simple problem: high-horsepower engines (like the KZ 125cc shifter) overwhelm standard chassis. Traditional frames either become too rigid (causing snap oversteer) or too flexible (causing excessive flex under braking). The JMG engineers spent two years on the drawing board and another year testing at tracks like Lonato and PF International.
