In 1969, young Alan Parrish discovers a mystical jungle-themed board game. When he refuses to play, his friend Sarah throws the dice, releasing a cloud of bats and sucking Alan into the game. He vanishes for 26 years. In 1995, two orphaned siblings, Judy and Peter, move into the old Parrish house, find Jumanji , and resume the game – unwittingly freeing a feral, adult Alan (Robin Williams). To end the escalating jungle chaos (stampedes, giant mosquitoes, man-eating plants, a psychotic hunter), they must find Sarah (Bonnie Hunt) and finish the game.
