Crimson is the reason many manga readers love this series. He is unapologetically villainous. In one scene, he casually murders a wounded human soldier to "tie up loose ends," much to Ragna’s fury. Yet, he also provides the only viable path forward. His knowledge of the Dragon Kings’ weaknesses is encyclopedic. Episode 2 does a fantastic job of making you hate Crimson while also respecting his intellect.
