The HSK 4 is a marathon, not a sprint. You need vocabulary (1200 words), but those words are useless if you cannot order them correctly. A single misplaced 把 or a forgotten 了 can change "I ate" (我吃了) to "I am being eaten" (我吃了? – ambiguous without context).
