The origins of Video Forno Indonesia date back to the early 2000s, when online video sharing was still in its infancy. As the internet began to gain traction in Indonesia, a group of entrepreneurs saw an opportunity to create a platform that would cater to the growing demand for online video content. With its launch, Video Forno Indonesia quickly gained popularity, attracting millions of users and establishing itself as a major player in the online video landscape.
During the peak of Rapidshare, few individual downloaders were prosecuted. The targets were the uploaders (the "Fornos" of the world) and the host (Rapidshare). In 2015, after a massive legal battle with the music and film industry, Rapidshare was effectively shut down (it rebranded and eventually closed in 2017). The German courts forced them to implement content filters, destroying their utility for pirates.
