Install the driver before plugging in the device. Many Benss drivers require the software to be installed first. Unplug the reader, uninstall any failed drivers, reboot, run the installer, and only plug the device when the installer tells you to.

Check the Device Manager again. You should now see a category named Biometric Devices . Expand it, and you should see your Benss device listed by name (e.g., "Benss USB Fingerprint Scanner" or "Goodix Fingerprint Device").

Once you have downloaded the driver file (usually a .zip , .exe , or .msi file), follow these steps to install the Benss fingerprint reader driver correctly.
