Extended Edition of The Hobbit is now Available for Download
In the theatrical cut, the arrival of the dwarves at Bag End is a chaotic, musical affair. We get the "Misty Mountains" song, but much of the banter is cut short. The Extended Edition restores a lengthier sequence regarding the dinner. We see a more distinct introduction to characters like Bifur, Bofur, and Bombur. Most notably, there is a moment where the dwarves play a game with Bilbo’s dishes, tossing them around the kitchen.
